દરેક પ્રજાએ પોતાનું એક આગવું પરિણામ લાવવાનું જ હોય છે, પોતાનું એક આગવું જીવનકાર્ય સંપૂર્ણ કરવાનું છે. આપણી પ્રજાનું જીવનકાર્ય કદી રાજકીય મહત્તા કે લશ્કરી તાકાત નથી; એ કદી હતું પણ નહીં; મારા શબ્દો લક્ષમાં રાખજો કે એ કદી થવાનું પણ નથી. જીવનકાર્ય તરીકે આપણને સોંપાયેલું કામ બીજું જ છે. તે છે પ્રજાની સમગ્ર આધ્યાત્મિક શક્તિને સંભાળવાનું, જાળવવાનું, જાણે કે એક ડાઈનેમોમાં સંઘરી રાખવાનું અને જ્યારે જ્યારે સંજોગો સાનુકૂળ હોય ત્યારે ત્યારે તે સંગૃહીત શક્તિને દુનિયા ઉપર પૂરની પેઠે વહાવી દેવાનું.
