When the Yogi becomes perfect, there will be nothing in nature not under his control. If he orders the gods or the souls of the departed to come, they will come at his bidding. All the forces of nature will obey him as slaves. When the ignorant see these powers of the Yogi, they call them the miracles. (Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, v. 1 pg. 148)

જ્યારે યોગી પૂર્ણ બને છે, ત્યારે કુદરતમાં એવું કંઈ જ નથી રહેતું કે જે તેના કાબૂ નીચે ન આવે. જો તે દેવતાઓને કે પ્રેતાત્માઓને હુકમ કરે તો તેઓ તેના હુકમ પ્રમાણે આવીને હાજર થાય. કુદરતનાં બધાં બળો ગુલામની પેઠે તેનો હુકમ માને. યોગીની આ સિદ્ધિઓ જ્યારે અજ્ઞાનીઓનાં જોવામાં આવે ત્યારે તેઓ તેમને ચમત્કાર કહે.. जब योगी सिद्ध हो जाते हैं, तब प्रकृति में ऐसी कोई वस्तु नहीं, जो उसके वश में न आ जाय। यदि वे देवताओं का आह्वान करेंगे, तो वे उनकी आज्ञा मात्र से आ उपस्थित होंगे; यदि मृत व्यक्तियों को आने की आज्ञा देंगे, तो वे तुरन्त हाजिर हो जायँगे । प्रकृति कि समुदय शक्ति उनकी आज्ञा से दासी की तरह काम करने लगेगी। अंज्ञ जन योगी के इन कार्य-कलापों को अलौकिक समझते हैं। (विवेकानंद साहित्य ग्रंथ 1 पृष्ठ 59)
