“The kingdom of heaven is within you,” says Jesus; so says the Vedanta, and every great teacher. “He that hath eyes to see, let him see, and he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” The Vedanta proves that the truth for which we have been searching all this time is present, and was all the time with us. In our ignorance, we thought we had lost it, and went about the world crying and weeping, struggling to find the truth, while all along it was dwelling in our own hearts. There alone can we find it. જિસસ કહે છે ઃ ‘સ્વર્ગનું સામ્રાજ્ય તમારા અંતરમાં છે.’ વેદાંત અને પ્રત્યેક મહાન ધર્મગુરુ પણ આમ જ કહે : ‘જેને જોવા માટે આંખ છે તે જુએ, જેને સાંભળવા માટે કાન છે તે સાંભળે.’ વેદાંત એ સિદ્ધ કરે છે કે જે સત્યની આપણે બધો વખત શોધ કર્યા કરીએ છીએ તે અહીં જ છે, બધો જ વખત આપણી પાસે જ હતું. અજ્ઞાનમાં આપણે એમ માનતા હતા કે આપણે ગુમાવ્યું છે; અને રોતા કકળતા સત્યની શોધ માટે આપણે જગતમાં ભટકતા હતા, જ્યારે બધો વખત એ આપણા હૃદયમાં જ રહેલું હતું. આપણે તેને માત્ર ત્યાં જ જોઈ શકીએ.
