Even earlier, when history has no record, and tradition dares not peer into the gloom of that intense past, even from then until now, ideas after ideas have marched out from [India], but every word has been spoken with a blessing behind it and peace before it. એથીયે પૂર્વે જ્યારે ઈતિહાસનો શો ઉલ્લેખ મળતો નથી અને અતિ દૂરના ભૂતકાળના ગાઢ અંધકારમાં ડોકિયું કરવાની પુરાણોની પરંપરાની પણ હિંમત ચાલતી નથી, એ કાળથી તે અત્યાર સુધીમાં, (ભારતમાંથી) વિચારો પાછળ વિચારો આવતા જ ગયા છે. પરંતુ એકેએક શબ્દના ઉચ્ચારની પાછળ આશીર્વાદ અને આગળ શાંતિ રહેલાં છે. દુનિયાની બધી પ્રજાઓમાં આપણે જ એવા છીએ કે જેઓ કદી પણ વિજેતા તરીકે આગળ આવ્યા નથી; એ આશીર્વાદો આપણા પર વરસ્યા છે એટલે જ આપણે હજુ જીવતા છીએ.
