जब कभी भी कोई दिग्विजयी जाति उठी, जिसने संसार के विभिन्न देशों को एक साथ ला दिया और आपस में यातायात तथा संचार की सुविधा कर दी, त्यों ही भारत उठा और उसने संसार की समग्र उन्नति में अपने आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान का भाग भी प्रदान कर दिया। … जब उस महाबलशाली दिग्विजयी यूनानी ने उस समय के ज्ञात संसार के सब भागों को एक साथ ला दिया था, तब भी यही बात घटी थी भारत के आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान की बाढ़ ने बाहर उमड़कर संसार को प्लावित कर दिया था। आज पाश्चात्य देशवासी जिस सभ्यता का गर्व करते हैं, वह उसी प्लावन का अवरोध मात्र है।
