સૃષ્ટિ એ કોઈ વસ્તુની ‘રચના’ નથી, તે તો માત્ર સમતા પ્રાપ્ત કરવાનો પ્રયાસ છે, જેવી રીતે બૂચના ઝીણા ઝીણા ટુકડાઓ પાણીની ડોલને તળિયે ડુબાડવામાં આવે અને પછી એક એક અગર સમૂહમાં સપાટી ઉપર ઊંચે આવવા ધસે તેમ. (સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદ ગ્રંથમાળા ભાગ. ૩ પૃ. ૨૫૫)

सृष्टि का अर्थ कुछ निर्माण करना या बनाना नहीं है; सृष्टि का अर्थ है जो साम्य भाव नष्ट हो गया है, उसीको पुन: प्राप्त करने की चेष्टा – जैसे यदि एक काग (Cork) को टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर उसे पानी के नीचे फेंक दें तो वे सब टुकड़े अलग अलग या एक साथ मिलकर पानी के ऊपर आने की चेष्टा करते हैं ।
